Bookings

To book the room we require:

Your last name
Contact telephone number
Credit or debit card details with expiry date and security code, alternatively £20.00 deposit per room booked in cash or cheque payable to "Clare Ellen Guest House"

Duration of stay - there is a requirement of minimum 2 nights stays during the high season weekends (May-September) and over Bank Holidays. Last minute one-night bookings available, please call guest house directly for availability and details.

Our cancellation policy:

one week notice or less an administration charge of £10.00 (ten pounds) per room
48 hours notice £20.00 (twenty pounds) per room charge
less than 24 hours full payment of one night’s accommodation per room booked
early departure - full payment of one night's accommodation per room booked
"no-show" is charged full payment of one night's accommodation per room booked

Check-in starts at 2 pm and finished at 10 pm unless arranged otherwise (prior to the arrival). We are happy to take care of your luggage if you arrive earlier and your room is not ready yet.
Please note check-ins are not open 24 hours a day.

Check out time is by 10.00 am on the day of departure. Please make sure you have returned your key. There will be £10.00 charge for lost key.

Visitors to guest rooms are permitted, but are not allowed to stay overnight. Visitors are requested to leave the premises no later that 9 pm.

Conduct - be mindful of other guests by holding down excessive noise after 10 pm in the evenings and before 8 am in the mornings.

Payment of the bills - we accept:

Cash
Cheques with a valid banker’s card
Travellers' cheques
Credit or debit cards: Visa, MasterCard, Solo and AmEx – regrettably payments by card will have a standard 3% surcharge

Amendments to reservations are subject to availability and cannot be guaranteed.

Exclusions - we regret that with the exception of guide dogs, no pets are allowed. For the comfort and safety of all our guests smoking is strictly forbidden. Failure to comply with smoke free regulations is a criminal offence and will result in a mandatory fine of £50.00.
